Kualiti Alam awarded MS1722 Part 1:2005 for Occupational Safety And Health System - 29 Sep, 2010
Kualiti Alam has been certified the MS 1722:2005 for Occupational Safety and Health System ( OSHMS) by SIRIM QAS International on 29 September 2010.
MS 1722:2005 is a Malaysian Standards that provides requirements on Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) and basis for the development of sustainable OSH culture in an organisation. It entails a more humanistic approach towards OSH management as compared to OHSAS 18001 where it, on the other hand, seems to be presenting itself as a management tool used towards an effective and efficient management of OSH risks.
The aim of this standard is to establish compliance with legislations and protecting employees from hazards and the elimination of work-related injuries, disabilities, ill health, diseases, near misses and fatalities. This system also leads to overall value added to the economy and social well-being of market relevant Malaysian Standards and provide to the development of global market.
It is a recognized specification that structures the implementation of an effective health and safety management system. Therefore, organisations registered to MS 1722:2005 have an approach to confirm the employees that they are on the right track and that they are using a structured process to protect their own safety and others.
Kualiti Alam was audited for MS 1722 by SIRIM auditors on 18-20 August 2010.
With the latest certification, the company now holds 5 certifications covering environmental management, quality management, occupational safety and health management and laboratory procedures.
The four existing certifications are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO/ IEC 17025.
