In an effort to promote waste recycling and recovery amongst our customers and in line with our principle of providing complete value chain services, we have expanded our activities to the hazardous waste recycling and recovery. We are responsible for the development of recovery and recycling facilities in line with the concept of 4R (reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery). Our objective is to generate valuable resources from scheduled waste for reused. This would in turn reduce the volumes of scheduled wastes generated for disposal. The reduction of the need for disposal of scheduled wastes would benefit both environmentally and economically, given the concept of waste as a valuable resource. The recycling and recovery centre will be able to manage 11 types of scheduled wastes within 16 waste codes, with the capability of recovering resources from the following scheduled waste:
- Waste oil
- Waste alkaline
- Waste acid
- Waste solvent
- Waste paint
- Waste metal hydroxide
- Silver paste
- Spent photographic waste
- Waste empty container (plastic & metal)
- E-waste
- Solder dross
Our recycling and recovery centre was fully operated and located within the Bukit Nanas WMC.
