Sustainable Development - A Gift to Our Future Generations
Malaysia's 1st Integrated Waste Management Centre
Malaysia in its drive to be a fully industrialised nation by 2020 has seen an explosive growth in industrial production and manufacturing. This has lead to the accumulation and accelerated output of toxic and hazardous waste. In many parts of the world, the poor management and disposal of these wastes have led to environmental degradation and irreversible damage to the ecosystem. That is why sustainable development, in the sense of balancing development with the proper and safe disposal of toxic and hazardous waste, is the only choice facing us today. Indeed, it is our gift to our future generations.
Companies have realised that pollution is bad for business and that sound environmental management can protect and enhance the value of physical assets as well as corporate reputations. Following the hierarchy of reduce, reuse and recycle; we are able to develop practical waste management strategies to meet the needs of large and small generators alike. Innovative management methods are designed to satisfy all regulatory requirements, to protect and facilitate your present activities, as well as your future operations. |

Kualiti Alam has been entrusted by the Government of to undertake the Privatisation of Malaysia's 1st Integrated Hazardous Waste Management System on 18 December 1995. To meet this requirements, our Bukit Nanas Waste Management Centre (“WMC”) commenced operations in 1997 to provide complete management of hazardous waste from “cradle to grave”, commencing from collection of waste at the premises of waste generators, transportation, treatment, to final disposal. The WMC is equipped with 4 main facilities with the capacity and capability to store, treat and dispose more than 100,000 tonnes of all classes of hazardous waste types (liquid and solid) annually. Our facilities at the WMC are designed and managed to meet stringent international standards.
We do not store, treat and dispose of radioactive, pathological and explosive waste. However, we are fully licensed by Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) of Malaysia to treat Technologically Enhanced Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (TENORM) waste.
